These scarves are the work of Roza whose story is told on her website:
As a visual artist, Roza has always drawn most of her inspiration from the natural world around her. The mountainous backdrop of Kazakhstan, where she was raised until the age of thirteen, has had a significant impact upon her work. In 2010, feeling creatively stifled and in need of respite from the crowded and intense competition of New York City, Roza journeyed to Australia in the hope of finding adventure and natural wonders with which to inform her work.
With its diverse, stunning nature, Australia presented Roza with a profusion of ideas and influences; and it was in 2011 that Roza and her partner Afshin launched Shovava, a line of women’s clothing based on her hand drawn paintings and prints of the natural world. Read the rest here.
