The Hobbit – Battle of Five Armies Bard
J.R.R. Tolkien’s literary works have spawned a number of memorable characters, including Bard the Bowman from his fantasy novel The Hobbit. Bard serves a very useful purpose in the novel and movie of the same name, when he is the one who is able to kill the evil dragon Smaug. Bard has inside information about the one weak spot on the dragon and uses his trusty bow and arrow with family heirloom treasure, the “Black Arrow”, to pierce the one vulnerable part of the dragon’s body. After successfully killing Smaug, Bard later becomes King of Dale. Bard the Bowman is a character that many boys and men might like to portray for Cosplay or Halloween. However, there seem to be no ready-made costumes available for Bard. Never fear, because with a little creativity, you can put together your own DIY Bard the Bowman costume.
Tarzan Wig (Adult)
To get the look of Bard’s long hair, this Tarzan wig makes a good choice. Front section of hair could be pulled back and secured with a bobby pin or hair clip of some kind to achieve a similar style as Bard wears. One size wig fits most adults.
